USDA Offers Low-Interest Loans for Agricultural Producers in Ohio Impacted by Natural Disasters

COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 15, 2019 — Ohio agricultural producers who lost property due to recent natural disasters may be eligible for U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) physical loss loans. The Farm Service Agency (FSA) offers these low-interest loans to agricultural producers in 21 Ohio counties, the primary damaged area, who incurred losses due excessive rain, flash flooding, flooding, hail, high winds, lightning and tornadoes that occurred between Nov. 1, 2018 and June 13, 2019. Women’s Self Defense Training Class Offered in Marysville

The Marysville Division of Police has partnered with The Hope Center to present a Women's Self Defense Training class on August 6, 2019 from 12:30PM to 3:00PM in Marysville.    Participants will learn basic defense techniques and responded to help stay safe throughout the day.   Space is limited, and since the classes fill up quick, early registration is recommended.   The class is free, and to register contact the Marysville Division of Police.

AAA Discovers Limitations with Vehicle Escape Tools

COLUMBUS, Ohio (July 16, 2019) – Not all tools designed to help break car windows in an emergency work on all types of glass, according to a new AAA study. Investigators Release Cause of Death of Mt. Blanchard Man

The cause of the July 4 death of a Mt. Blanchard man has been released by the Hancock County Sheriff's Office.   The Findlay Courier reported that 22 year old Boe N. Bushong died from a single gunshot wound to the chest.   A person wanted for questioning in the shooting, 29 year old Ashlie Velasquez was arrested over the weekend in Findlay. So far, she has been charged with tampering with evidence.   The incident remains under investigation.

USDA Now Making Payments for New Dairy Margin Coverage Program

WASHINGTON, July 11, 2019 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) opened enrollment for the Dairy Margin Coverage (DMC) program on June 17 and has started issuing payments to producers who purchased coverage.
