Stolen Car From Michigan Recovered in Kenton

A car that was stolen in Michigan was recovered in Kenton Thursday morning.   According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, an officer was dispatched to the Hardin County Title Department at the request of the Ohio State Patrol, in reference to a male trying to register a stolen vehicle.   The 2017 Dodge Challenger, valued at $28,000, was stolen in Michigan on June 4.   A 44 year old Kenton man was listed as the suspect, and […]

Shoplifting Reported at Kenton Business Thursday

A shoplifting incident was reported to Kenton Police late Thursday afternoon.   According to the report, officers were dispatched to Sav-A-Lot on Decatur Street at just before 4:30 to investigate a theft report.   A man attempted to steal an unknown amount of merchandise from the business.   A 38 year old Ada man was listed as a suspect, but he has not yet been charged.   The incident remains under investigation.

Allen County Sheriff’s Office Welcomes Two New Members

The Allen County Sheriff's Office welcomed two new members to the force this week.   Brooke Law is the new Psychological Services Coordinator. She is a graduate of Wapakoneta City Schools and attended Bowling Green State University and Ohio State University.   Keaton Sullivan is the newest corrections officer. He graduated from Bath High School and attended the University of St. Francis.

Man Indicted on Multiple Charges Connected to 2018 Arson Fires

A 31 year old Kenton man has been arrested and is facing numerous charges in connection to arson fires from April of 2018.   Hardin County Sheriff Keith Everhart said Dustin Cannode was visiting his probation officer when he was taken into custody without incident this past Tuesday afternoon at the Hardin County Courthouse.   Four fires were set at homes on Leighton, Walnut, Tracey and Leonard Streets. Flooding Causes Big Problems for Farmers

Flooding is again a concern as rain continues to fall.   The forecast is calling for more rain through the morning hours. Bellefontaine ER Back Open Following Flooding Wednesday Evening

Flooding issues forced the temporary closure of the emergency department at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine Wednesday evening.   WPKO Radio reported that just over 3 inches of rain was reported in the area, which led to flooding and five patients at the hospital had to be transferred to area hospitals.   The ER was fully operational as of this morning.   More rain is in the forcement, and motorists are advised to drive with care, remembering not to cross […]

Suspicious Item Forces Evacuation of Several U of F Buildings
