Ridgemont's Got Talent will take place Friday evening (May 17) at the Ridgemont School Commons. The night will feature the talents of Ridgemont High School students and is hosted by Tanna Brown and Jackson Reppart. A spaghetti dinner will be served for a nominal cost and will benefit the Ridgemont Music Boosters. Food will be served starting at 6:15. The show begins at 6:30 with free admission and free parking.
Kenton Nursing and Rehab Center will be saluting Veterans and their families with a Memorial Day Celebration. The facility will be serving hot dogs, hamburgers and more after the Memorial Day parade until 1pm on the May 27. Family and friends are invited to participate in the free celebratory meal.
The Bellefontaine Police Department's Bike Patrol Unit began patrolling neighborhoods, business districts, and parks this week. Specially trained Bike Patrol Officers work to provide additional support during the warmer months. Bicycles have proven effective for stealth, surveillance, and traffic enforcement.
The Findlay Police Department will host a Bicycle Rodeo this Saturday May 18 from 10am to 1pm. The event is held to teach area youth the benefits of safe cycling and hopefully instill in them a lifelong love for the sport. Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) will host a “Stopping Senior Scams Workshop” on Thursday, May 30 at 10:00 AM in the Penta Career Center in Perrysburg, Ohio. The Hardin Community School will be holding its Graduation Ceremony this Thursday May 16, 2019 at the Moose Club. The ceremony will start at 11:30 am, and State Representative Jon Cross will be the keynote speaker. John Folk, Director of Job and Family Services will also be in attendance. Juvenile Court Judge Steve Christopher along with Hardin Community School Director, Wade Melton will be announcing the Graduates and handing out the diplomas.
The Hancock County Sheriff's Office will be using University of Findlay houses at 337, 341 and 403 Howard Street Wednesday and Thursday, May 15 and 16. Special Response Team "SWAT" training will be conducted from 6-11 p.m. each evening. There will be a large police presence in that area during those times. Residents are being advised that it will only be a training exercise and not an actual emergency situation.
LIMA, Ohio – The 22nd Annual Rhodes State College Scholarship Awards reception was held in Keese Hall on the College’s campus with a record crowd of over 350 recipients, donors and guests.
