Average Price of Gas in Hardin County Drops Slightly

The average price for a gallon of gas in Hardin County dropped a few cents from last week.   AAA reported that the average price for a gallon of regular grade gas is $2.64 today, compared to $2.67 from last week.   Allen County has the cheapest price in our region to start the week at $2.59.   Wyandot and Marion Counties have the most expensive average at $2.69 per gallon.   The statewide average fell 14 cents per gallon […]

Heartbeat of Hardin County will be offering a summer GEMS Program. GEMS is self-esteem/mentoring program open to youth entering the 7th grade in the fall to 12th graders. Topics that will be covered include the importance of protecting your fertility, relationships, drug & alcohol awareness, self-esteem, and future goals. (Marion) Middle school students from eight area schools came to the Marion Campus to test their math prowess in the Annual Math Challenge, hosted by The Ohio State University at Marion and Marion Technical College. Troopers Remind Ohioans: Click it or Ticket

Findlay – Safety belt usage continues to be a primary focus for the Ohio State Highway Patrol as troopers participate in the Click it or Ticket campaign. The campaign begins on May 13 and runs until June 2. Expect to see troopers on Ohio’s roads encouraging drivers to wear their safety belts. A Kenton woman reported a theft by deception incident to Kenton police Thursday.   According to the report, the victim received a scam phone call saying unless she pays $4500 she would be subject to arrest by the social security administration.   The victim did as told and purchased 9 electronic gift cards and called the scammer back giving them the numbers on the cards.   She was scammed out of $4500.   Calls from social security and the internal […]
