Hall of Justice in Lima Evacuated Due to Bomb Threat

The Hall of Justice in Lima was evacuated Wednesday due to a bomb threat. Hometown Stations reported that that the threat was made to the section that houses municipal court and the police department. Lima Police Chief Kevin Martin said that all non-essential personnel were evacuated from the building for a little over an hour Wednesday morning. Wyandot County Sheriff’s Releases January Activity Report

The Wyandot County Sheriff's Office released its activity report for the month of January. One person was killed in a crash, and five people were injured in 3 separate crashes. 28 adults were arrested on felony charges during the month. 23 new concealed carry permits were issued, 13 were renewed and 1 was suspended. 163 complaints were investigated in the month of January.

BELLEFONTAINE STUDENT ACCUSED OF MAKING THREAT

A student at Bellefontaine Middle School has been accused of threatening to shoot up the school. WPKO Radio reported that police in Bellefontaine arrested a 14 year old student Tuesday, and he allegedly admitted to making the threat. Other students reported the threat and identified the 14 year old. He is being held in the Logan County Juvenile Detention Center on a charge of inducing panic.

Part of Ada Under a Boil Water Advisory

Some residents in Ada are under a boil water advisory. The advisory affects residents in from 900 to 1012 South Main Street in the village. There was a line pressure drop on Tuesday due to a water line break. As a precaution, the advisory in in effect. Residents impacted should boil the water before consuming. The advisory will be in effect until further notice.

3 UCSO Employees Recognized During Awards Banquet

The Union County Sheriff's Office held its Annual Awards Banquet in recognition of employees and their service to the county residents. An array of awards, from years of service to Employee of the Year were presented to the staff members. Nominated and awarded were Jaymie Williams, Deputy of the Year, Andrea Schalip, Communications Officer of the Year and Alicia Bosch, Civilian of the Year. The Sheriff's Office congratulated each of the employees.
