LPD Reschedules Skate With a Cop Event

The Lima Police Department is hosting a Skate With a Cop event this Saturday March 2.   It is for kids aged 12 and under, and they must be accompanied by an adult.   Admission is free.   You'll be able to skate and meet the officers from your local law enforcement agencies.   This event was scheduled for last month but was cancelled due to the weather.

(UPDATE) AEP Planning Outage for Maintenance

UPDATE..... The planned power outage for Kenton and the surrounding area is not affecting the entire city as the utility first reported. There is an outage on the east side and southern part of Kenton. The outage should last a couple of hours. AEP Ohio is notifying its customers about a planned power outage. Kenton Man Arrested Following Traffic Stop Tuesday

A traffic stop Tuesday evening led to the arrest of a Kenton man.   According to information from the Hardin County Sheriff's Office, officers stopped the car in the 400 block of South Main Street for a traffic violation.   The driver, identified as Chad Motter, was arrested on unspecified charges.   A search of the vehicle was conducted, but it's not known what, if anything, was found.   The incident remains under investigation.

Items Stolen from Garage in Kenton

Several items were stolen after a garage in Kenton was broken into sometime within the past two weeks.   According to the report, the incident was reported to Kenton police on Tuesday.   The garage is located in the 500 block of King Street.   Camping and welding equipment as well as other miscellaneous items were missing.   The total value of the items was listed at $730.

CSX Railroad Property Vandalized

A vandalism to property belonging to CSX Railroad was reported to the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office Tuesday.   According to the report, a deputy was dispatched to the north side of Carey regarding a report that someone had shot the overhead railroad lights for trains travelling on the tracks.   An employee was able to extract a partial bullet from one of the lights.   The estimated cost for repairs was between $1600 to $2000.   A Special Agent with […]

Toledo Man Facing Felony Charges Following Traffic Stop

A Toledo man is facing several charges following a traffic stop in Wyandot County earlier this week.   According to the report, a car was stopped for speeding on U.S. 23 near State Highway 53. Radar obtained a reading of 86 miles an hour in a 65 miles an hour zone.   The driver, identified as Jackie L. 7 Arrested on Drug Charges in Auglaize County Identified

Sheriff Al Solomon released the names and charges against 7 individuals arrested on Friday on numerous drug charges. The Grand Lake Task Force and local officers went out Friday afternoon with Grand Jury Indictments in hand and began the process of making the arrests. ODA Announces $23 Million for Programs in Western Lake Erie Basin

REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio (Feb. 26, 2019) – Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) Director Dorothy Pelanda announced new assistance programs for producers in the Western Lake Erie Basin funded by the passage of Ohio Senate Bill 299. Signed in 2018, Ohio Senate Bill 299 provided $23.5 million for soil and water conservation districts (SWCD) located in the Western Lake Erie Basin (WLEB) for nutrient management programs. Informational Meeting Set for USV Students and Parents
