The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced that State Route 203 between State Route 4 and Prospect in Marion County is closed due to high water. Heavy rain is expected to continue today and tomorrow. Motorists should never try to drive thru high water, it could be deeper than it looks. ODOT said you should always remember to Turn around, don't drown.

The Wyandot County Sheriff's Office released details of a crash that occurred this past Monday afternoon at the intersection of State Route 67 and County Highway 44. According to the report, 80 year old Susan Crow, of Upper Sandusky, drove from a stop sign on 44 onto 67 and struck an eastbound car being operated by 28 year old Charlene Wears, of Bucyrus. A Richwood woman was charged following a traffic stop on Tuesday night. According to the Kenton Police Department report, officers stopped a car in the 300 block of South Wayne Street for a traffic violation. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and officers found several drug abuse items, which were confiscated. 33 year old Jennifer Lowery was issued a summons for possessing drug abuse instruments.
A theft from a vehicle was reported to Kenton police on Tuesday. According to the report, a vehicle parked in the 200 block of East Eliza Street was entered and a laptop computer and backpack were stolen. No value of the missing items was listed on the report. It's not known if the vehicle was locked at the time.
The informational College Credit Plus meeting for all Riverdale students and their parents that was originally scheduled for January 23rd has been rescheduled. It will be held this evening at 6:30 pm at Carey High School. The Hardin County Historical Museums will hold a grand reopening on March 16th from 1-4pm to introduce its newest Scouting Exhibit. The display will consist of some unique items used by different Hardin County troops and packs since their start. The 2nd annual Riverdale PTO craft show has been scheduled for Saturday March 9th from 9am-2pm. Organizers said they had much success last year, and they received lots of great reviews and feedback from vendors and shoppers alike.
