Marion Man Arrested Following Drug Investigation

A search warrant was executed in Marion on Monday, which resulted in the arrest of a Marion man.   According to a release, the Marion Metro Drug Enforcement Unit assisted the Marion Police Department and Marion County Sheriff's Office as the warrant was served at a residence in the 100 block of Sargent Street in Marion.   During a search, detectives located 60 grams of heroin, $600 in cash and a loaded handgun. St. Marys Man Accepts Plea Deal in Auglaize County Court

A first degree felony charge was dropped after a St. Marys man accepted a plea deal in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court Monday.   The Lima news reported that 24 year old Aaron Kanorr pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. In exchange for the guilty pleas, one count of rape was dismissed.   Kanoor was classified as a Tier II Sex Offender, and Judge Frederick Pepple ordered a pre-sentence investigation.   A jury trial […]

Marion Fire Department Looking for Arson Suspect

  The Marion Fire Department is asking for assistance in locating a suspect who is suspected of setting a fire in the city earlier this month at 680 Silver Street.   Witnesses describe the suspect as a white male, thin build, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall. The Hardin County Board of Elections will meet on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in their office in the Hardin County Courthouse.   At the meeting, the Board will reorganize, review the auditor’s report, approve minutes and pay bills.     There will be no meeting March 14, 2019.

Purse Stolen From Mt. Victory Woman

A Mt. Victory woman reported that her purse was stolen while she was in Kenton Sunday evening.   According to the Kenton Police Department report, the woman told officers that she was the Dollar Tree at the time of the theft.   Numerous personal items, including checks and multiple identification cards and documents were in the purse.   The incident is under investigation.

Gas Prices Continue to Edge Higher

The average price for a gallon of gas in Hardin County continued to climb this week   AAA reported the average price for a gallon of regular grade gas was $2.19 today, up 6 cents from last Monday's $2.13.   That ties Allen County for the cheapest price in the region.   The most expensive is in Marion County at $2.38 a gallon.   The statewide average is at $2.34 a gallon, and the nationwide average stands at $2.40 a […]
