University of Findlay to Host Earth Day Extravaganza and Tree Planting Event Tomorrow

University of Findlay is holding its Third Annual Earth Day Extravaganza tomorrow. Activities will kick off at 3:30 Thursday afternoon with a special tree planting at College Park . The university is celebrating 10 years as a Tree Campus Higher Education institution. St. Anthony Center Offering Free Clothing and Hygiene Items in Kenton

St. Anthony Center is continuing to distribute free clothing and hygiene products this week. The center is open from 11:30am until 1:00pm today through this Friday for anyone needing assistance. Also during open hours, they are accepting donations of clean, gently used clothing that is pet hair and smoke free. The next giveaway will be held May 26 through May 29. St. Anthony Center is located at the corner of Wayne and North Streets in Kenton.

Upper Sandusky Gets New Vancrest Facility as Kenton Project Progresses

Photo: Vancrest of Upper Sandusky Vancrest opened a new facility in Upper Sandusky this week. The new 87,000 square foot building includes a 99-bed skilled nursing facility, consisting of 79 long-term care beds and a specialized 20-bed rehabilitation wing. Additionally, the facility will include a 40-unit assisted living facility with 10 units dedicated to memory care. Construction of the facility began in July of 2024. Dunkirk Man to Get Hearing on Motion to Withdraw Guilty Pleas

A Dunkirk man will get a hearing in his attempt to withdraw guilty pleas in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. Zachery Freed was indicted in May of 2025 on one count of intimidation, one count of disrupting public services and three counts of domestic violence.
