ODOT Announces Grants to Support Public Transportation

The Ohio Department of Transportation announced more than $100 million in investments to support quality public transportation in Ohio. A total of $106 million will be awarded to 383 transit projects throughout Ohio.  ODOT’s Office of Transit is awarding the funds through seven separate grant programs that focus on workforce mobility, senior citizen and special needs transportation, rural transit, and busing. Blanchard Place Hosting Second Alzheimer’s Education Series

The second in an Alzheimer’s education series will be at Blanchard Place in Kenton tomorrow. It will start at 6 Thursday evening.  They will then continue on the third Thursday of each month through June. You will learn to recognize common signs of Alzheimer’s in yourself and others.  Additionally, you will understand the next steps to take, including how to talk to your doctor. UW Director Speaks at Kenton Rotary Meeting

Water Pump Repaired in Mt. Victory

A situation causing water problems in the Village of Mt. Victory on Monday has been resolved. A pump at the water plant failed Monday morning prompting Mayor Jerry Brose to ask residents to conserve water usage throughout the day. The mayor was concerned that over-usage would deplete the water supply in the tank. The repair was completed as of around 8 Monday evening and the water is back to normal. […]

There are two more blood drives scheduled around the area during the month of February. The next one is Monday February 19, at the Belle Center United Methodist Church from 1 until 7pm.
