Kenton City Council Holding 10th Regular Session This Evening

Kenton City Council is scheduled to meet this evening. On the agenda is an ordinance on first reading providing for additional appropriations and transferring funds for 2026. On second reading is an ordinance relating to penalties and remedies for violations of the Zoning Code. The 10th regular session of the year will start at 7:00 this evening in the Kenton City Building.

Officials at the Kenton Eagles Aerie #2163 announced late last week that the club’s charter has been revoked. The final day of operations for Kenton Eagles Aerie 2163 will be June 30, but officials said there is also a chance the closing date may be sooner than anticipated. Kenton Historic Courthouse District Receives Community Foundation Grants for Downtown Events and Projects

Kenton Historic Courthouse District expressed appreciation for several grants recently received from the Hardin County Community Foundation to support upcoming downtown events and initiatives. $5000 was received for the Summer Concert Series, $3500 for the Gene Autry Park, $2500 for the Christmas Parade, $1500 for Market on Main, and $1000 for Window Wonderland. The grants allow KHCD to keep the community traditions alive.
