Wilson Sporting Goods workers overwhelmingly turned down the latest contract offer from the company in voting that took place Thursday evening. Derek Gibson, president of Local 1385 of Workers United, said that 99% of the workers voted against the contract. Marion Technical College Honor Society Collecting Clothing Donations

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Marion Technical College is conducting a Clothing Drive for a Cause. Childen's, men's and women's clothing will be accepted. Clothing donations will be taken to Turning Point in Marion, which provides help to victims of domestic violence. Any and all donations are appreciated and will be accepted through the end of October.

The Union County Sheriff's Office officially wrapped up its Women's Firearms Safety Courses for 2026. Participants were able to walk away with valuable knowledge, new skills, and greater confidence in safely and responsibly handling firearms. Terri Gravatt was the winner of the Gun Safe Giveaway during the Fall Session. J&J Ohio Trading Post in Richwood donated the safe.

Wyandot County Fair The Wyandot County Scare Fair continues this Saturday. For those who dare to try, you can go through the haunted barns on October 17 from 8:00 until 11:30 pm. It will also be open on October 24. Admission is $10 per person, and this is not recommended for small children. The fairgrounds are located at 10171 State Route 53 in Upper Sandusky.
