Riverdale Grad Competes in KRA Series Race

Former Forest resident and Riverdale graduate Alan Elwood recently competed in the opening KRA Series race at New Castle Motorsports Park in Spiceland, Indiana. Elwood qualified 5th in the 50 kart field and finished 6th.   New Castle fields some of the best drivers in the Midwest, and Elwood was battling for the win the whole race.

Ridgemont Golden Gophers Varsity built an eight-run lead in the fifth inning and then held off Lehman Catholic's charge for a 10-9 victory on Tuesday. Wednesday's game against Allen East was a heartbreaker for Ridgemont Golden Gophers Varsity, as they lost the lead late in a 10-7 defeat. The game was tied at seven with Allen East batting in the top of the eighth when O Lawerence tripled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.
