An arraignment for a Fredickstown man was postponed last week in U.S. District Court in Toledo.

The judge ordered that 26 year old Caleb T. Poole be committed to a facility for a competency evaluation. A new date for the arraignment has yet to be set.

Poole has been charged with destroying or damaging property used in interstate commerce, which is a felony.

The charge stems from a fire at Walmart in Kenton on May 6.

Poole allegedly was captured on the store’s security camera placing items in a cart then setting them on fire.

Some of the items were said to have been aerosol cans which created an explosion.

While the fire was contained to a small area, smoke and water damage was estimated at around one million dollars.

Only some sections of the store is open, while the cleanup continues.

Store officials are not saying when the entire store will be reopened.
