A Kenton man was issued a summons for cruelty to animals this week.

37 year old Andrew Dilts made an initial appearance Thursday in Hardin County Municipal Court for the offense.

The citation alleges that on February 11 Dilts “knowingly tortured, deprived of necessary sustenance, unnecessarily or cruelly beat, or needlessly mutilated or killed an animal.”

A hearing on the matter was scheduled for Thursday February 22.
