The investigation into the threat of violence against the Hancock County Job and Family Services facility has resulted in the indictment of a Findlay man.
According to a release from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, 48-year-old John Buoy was arrested on charges of inducing panic handed down in the indictment by the Hancock County Grand Jury.
The case dates to February 28 this year when a male caller who was upset about canceled benefits contacted the Job and Family services Office in Sandusky and threatened to “blow y’all up.”
An investigation was initiated by the Sandusky County Sheriff’s Office, and it was determined the caller was a Hancock County resident.
The case was then referred to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, which led to the arrest of Buoy on Tuesday.
He is being held at the Hancock County Justice Center in Findlay.
