Kenton Rotary heard about Hardin County 4-H at a recent meeting.

Amanda Raines, 4-H Youth Development Educator at the Ohio State University Extension office, shared that Hardin County 4-H reaches 44% of the 4-H aged children between the ages of 5 and 18.

This number is enough to be second in the state of Ohio.

In 2024 4-H had 26 Community Clubs, 653 youth enrolled in community clubs, 78 adult volunteers serving as club advisors and the youth enrolled 941 projects.

267 teens served as club officers, camp counselors or on the Junior Fair Board.

Between camps, camp counselor training school programs and freshman orientation at Ohio Northern University, the OSU Extension office stays busy in the community.
