Ohio Ag Net: Future of AI in Agriculture is Now

Artificial Intelligence is being used by farmers today to make agronomic and economic decisions.

Dr. Scott Shearer, Chair of the Department of Food, Agriculture and Biological Engineering at Ohio State’s College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, told Ohio Ag Net’s Ty Higgins that AI offers many important advantages for farmers if it used correctly.

He said he doesn’t believe AI will take the human element out of decision making, “I think what it really means is individual humans are going to able to do much more, and they’re going to be more accurate in what they do.”
