Local Business will be Timing Sponsor for 2021 Hardin Half Marathon Presented by Quest Federal Credit Union

The United Way of Hardin County announced the 2021 Hardin Half Marathon presented by Quest Federal Credit Union will be held on September 26.

Stephanie Temple, Honorary Co-chair of the 2020 campaign and owner of Tons of Fun Travel, said last year’s event raised over $3600 for the United Way.

She said because of the interest and support they had, they have decided to present a new and improved event for 2021, “All four parts of it will be included, the 25 mile bike ride, the 13.1 mile half marathon, the 5k and the one mile walk/run, which will be for fun, would be great for families, kids, small kids, but this year Tons of Fun Travel has agreed to be the timing sponsor, so this year, we’re working with Can’t Stop Running, a company that offers bibs and all the timing equipment, so it will be just like a true, bigger city event that you see where everyone will get their time logged. It’s a little different than what we had last year, and we’re so excited that we can bring that to our county this year, and not only just for the local runners but for those that can come out of town.”

The Hardin Half Marathon will take place about three weeks before the Children’s Nationwide Race in Columbus, so they are hoping to get a lot of participants who will be doing a practice run for that event.
