
An Ada man was convicted on a total of 13 counts following a two-day jury trial that started Wednesday in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.
The jury found Eric L. Spence guilty of burglary, grand theft when the property is a firearm or dangerous ordnance, grand theft-motor vehicle, receiving stolen property- a motor vehicle, receiving stolen property- a firearm, receiving stolen property- a credit card, receiving stolen property in excess of $1000 but less than $7500, receiving stolen property- a credit card, receiving stolen property- a credit card, and four additional charges of receiving stolen property.
Spence was arrested by Ada police officers in September of 2025 as they were investigating a report about a suspicious male attempting to enter residences and vehicles in the village.
During the apprehension, several items were confiscated.
His trial concluded Thursday, and the jury returned the verdicts that evening.
Judge Steve Christopher ordered a presentence investigation and scheduled the sentencing date for March 26.
