Bailey’s Presented Mayor’s Trophy at WOAL Swim Championship Meet in Kenton Saturday
The Western Ohio Aquatics League was held over the weekend at the Kenton swimming pool.
To get the event started on Saturday, the WOAL Mayor’s Trophy was presented to Matt and Sue Bailey for their years of work with the Kenton swim team.
Kenton Mayor Lynn Webb made the presentation.
Sue Bailey stated that it has been an honor to serve, and they are going to miss being involved, “Not to the point where if you need help next year, call us, but we certainly plan to watch.”
The Bailey’s are credited with being heavily involved in helping to start a swim team in Kenton at around the time the new pool became operational in 2005.
