
Charles Castle has officially appealed his conviction and sentencing in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.
Castle was found guilty on numerous charges, including attempted murder, kidnapping and rape.
He was sentenced in late July to 48 years to life in prison.
The appeal will be heard by the Ohio Third District Court of Appeals in Lima.
Earlier this week, Castle was found indigent and Findlay attorney Howard A. Elliott was appointed to represent him in the appeals process.
Castle is being held at the Correctional Reception Center in Orient, Ohio.
