Dolly Parton is coming to Ohio next week where she and First Lady Fran DeWine will celebrate the success of the Imagination Library program in Ohio.

Stacey Hensley, the Chair of the Hardin County program, will be among a delegation from Hardin County who will attend the luncheon on August 9 in Columbus.

Hensley said the Imagination library though doesn’t just stop in Ohio, “It’s a nationwide program. Dolly started it in 1995. We actually have one of the oldest programs in Ohio. It started in Hardin County in 2006. Since that time, the program has generated the funds to have books mailed right to the young children to encourage a love of reading for the family.”

For the complete discussion with Hensley, tune in Public Eye, Saturday morning at 7:30 and Sunday at noon on WKTN.
