Hardin Northern was thrilled to welcome our local veterans to join us at school this morning in honor of Veterans Day.

About twenty veterans joined us for refreshments this morning before going on a quick tour of the building. Our students decorated the hallways with signs, banners, cards, and letters thanking them for their service.

Our Veterans Day program kicked off about 9:00 with a standing ovation from a packed junior high gym filled with cheering students from grades K-12. Students from the History brigade and Student Government led the activities. Mrs. Eikenbary led Awakened Commotion in the singing of the national anthem and the 4th grade in singing a tribute to our honored guests. Larry Monday, a volunteer with Flag City Honor Flight and Hancock County Veterans Service Office, provided a motivational message honoring all of those who have served our great nation.

From all of Hardin Northern, thank you, veterans, for all of your service.
