High winds are causing issues around Hardin County this afternoon.

The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office has been busy with reports of semis being blown over. One is on State Route 117, between the Auglaize/Hardin County line and State Route 67, and other is on State Route 292 south of the city. In addition, there have been reports of semis being blown into ditches.

Numerous tree limbs and some full trees are down, and there are several reports of downed power lines.

A utility pole on Harding Avenue near the old Kenton High School is leaning and close to falling (in picture above). AEP Ohio was dispatched to that area.

Scattered power outages have been reported around Hardin County, and AEP Ohio is assessing them.

Motorists should drive with care and watch for falling debris and tree limbs.

A High Wind Warning remains in effect until 8 this (Friday) evening.

Wind gusts could reach 65 miles an hour.
