Softball Tournament - Hardin Northern vs USV 5/21/26 WKTN Sports

The Hardin Northern FFA hosted Elementary Ag Day on the morning of April 11th.
The chapter members invited the kindergarten through fourth grade classes to join them to learn about agriculture.
There were nine stations, with 18 high schools presenting.
Topics ranged from piglet care to planting seeds to maple syrup production.
FFA presenter and chapter vice president, Alyssa Heldman said “Overall I think Ag Day went really well. There was unfortunate weather that occurred but I could tell the kids enjoyed getting to be outside and learn about what we had to teach them. I hope this is something we can continue to do for the younger students. A lot of our members put a lot of effort into this day to make it successful.”
While the goal of the day is to spread the knowledge of agriculture to the younger polar bears, we want them to have fun as well. Third grader Vivian Wilson shared “I loved the live animals! We learned a lot of new facts about how long they live, what’s made from them that we eat and I especially liked the goat!” Along with the live animals, there were fans of the farm machinery as well! Second grader Maddux Mast said “I liked climbing up and sitting in the tractor!”
Overall a successful day for the FFA presenters and the elementary classes.
