
The death of a man inside the Multi-County Correctional Center in Marion Tuesday morning is being investigated.
According to a release from the Marion Police Department, officers were dispatched to the facility at just after 7:30 Tuesday morning, where they learned that 55 year old Greg Bunker, of Marion, had suffered a serious injury.
Bunker was transported to Marion General Hospital and later transferred to Grant Hospital in Columbus where he died.
The Franklin County Coroner’s Office will perform an autopsy.
Officers and Detectives investigating the case have so far prepared charges of felonious assault against 40 year old Jack W. Mangus, of Blacklick, Ohio.
The case is being reviewed by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
Mangus was incarcerated in the jail at the time of the incident.
He remains in jail at this time.
