A 2022 graduate of Kenton High School and a soldier in the U.S. Army, paid a surprise visit to her sister on Monday at the Kenton Elementary School.
Jennifer “Jenny” Herrera-Montelongo completed basic training in the U.S. Army in Texas after graduation and has not seen her little sister Jovanna Herraera during that time.
On Monday during lunch break at the school, Jennifer surprised Jovanna with an unannounced visit.
The two embraced for several minutes for the reunion.
When asked if she had anything to say, Jovanna simply said she was speechless.
Her 5th and 6th grade classmates applauded loudly as the two sisters continued to embrace.
Jennifer will only be in town for a couple of days before she is deployed to Bahrain.
