Lions Announce $2700 Raised at Recent Golf Scramble

The Kenton Lions club held its meeting on Wednesday Sept. 21st, 2023, at the Kenton Elks. The meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by Lion President Lion Jason Vanbuskirk with 20 members present.

President Lion Jason Vanbuskirk led with the pledge and the prayer. The meeting was adjourned and reconvened at 7:00 pm following a meal.

Treasurer’s Report/Secretary Report:

The Treasurer report and Secretary minutes were submitted to members. A motion to accept the treasurer’s report and minutes from the Aug. 16th, 2023 meeting was made by Lion Daryl Flowers with a 2nd by Lion Joe Burbacher. Motion passed.

Old Business:

Lion Tracy Anderson thanked the Lions for the help with the Sept. 16th Golf Scramble.

He also thanked Lion Micheal Hunt for the signs he made for the hole sponsors. Lion Tracy reported that 7 teams participated and $2700 was raised for the which will be used for the Pioneer Park Project.

Park Report:

Lion Joe Burbbacher gave an update on the Pioneer Park project. He said the prep for painting the last picnic table will take place soon and Lion BIll requested
help to prime the stagecoach. The goal is to have all the current equipment painted before winter.

New Business:

President Lion Jason reminded members of all the activities coming up and to check emails for updates; meetings on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays, Christmas Parade the
November 21st, Bowling for Santa, and Park Project.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:50 pm. Followed by the singing of the Lions Roar.
