Maximum Age to Join OSP Increased

The maximum age to join the Ohio State Highway Patrol has increased.

Cadets must turn 21 prior to being commissioned and must enter the training academy prior to their 40th birthday.

The minimum requirements are that you must be a U.S. Citizen with a High School Diploma or GED.

You must also have a valid driver’s license with less than 6 points.
