Substitute teachers and aides are greatly needed in schools around the area.

Dr. Rick Smith, Superintendent of Midwest Regional Educational Service Center, said in fact there is a critical need.

What are the qualifications for the positions?, “Well right now that’s one of the types of things is, they changed the law in Ohio, you don’t need a bachelor’s degree anymore to be a substitute, so you can sub with just a high school diploma,” said Dr. Smith.
