The Marysville Police Division (MPD) extends its gratitude to our partner agencies for their collaboration during a targeted, two-day commercial vehicle enforcement operation held August 11 and 12, 2026.
MPD officers worked alongside the Ohio Commercial Vehicle Inspection Unit, the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO), and the Union County Sheriff’s Office to focus heavily on commercial vehicle safety throughout the Marysville area. Targeted corridors included State Route 31, State Route 4, US 33/36 East, and US 33 near Scottslawn Road. Operation Results:
121 Commercial Vehicle Stops
11 Total Citations Issued (Violations included: Axle Load (6), Tinted Glass (1) Annual RegistrationRequirements (1), No Valid OL or CDL (2), Failure to Register within 30 days of
residency(1))
23 Drivers Placed Out of Service (Violations included: No CDL, No Medical Certificate, Hours of Service, and English proficiency requirements)
25 Vehicles Placed Out of Service for mechanical or service violations.
MPD would also like to thank the Union County Engineer’s Office and the IRG company for providing facility driveway and parking lot access to safely conduct off-road inspections.
