The West Central Ohio Crime Task Force and the FBI North West Ohio Safe Streets Task Force, assisted by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. Team, served a narcotics related search warrant last week at 1423 W. Spring Street in Lima.
Prior to the service of the search warrant the resident, 29-year-old Cortlend T. Banks, was in an unrelated vehicular pursuit and was taken into custody.
During the search of the residence, 42 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 19 grams of suspected fentanyl, 15 ounces of suspected marijuana, 17 grams of suspected synthetic marijuana, one semi-automatic pistol, just over $2,700 in U.S. currency, and drug paraphernalia were located.
After service of the search warrant, Marcus Nichols of Lima was taken into custody for outstanding warrants after he arrived near the residence and was identified by Lima Police Department officers.
The investigation is ongoing with additional charges expected to be presented for consideration to a future session of the Allen County Grand Jury.
