It’s official, Kenton will soon have a new supermarket.
Kitchen’s Supermarket announced on Facebook Tuesday that the store will open sometime this Spring.

It will be operated by Christopher Kitchen and his son Stewart.
The family has a history in the supermarket business.
Chris’ father Pete managed Kenton’s Kroger store from 1965 to 1973.
He opened Kitchen’s Supermarket in West Jefferson, Ohio in 1975.
Chris grew up in the store and held every position from bagger, to meat cutter to manager.
Kitchen’s Supermarket plans to bring the freshest produce, choice meats, and widest grocery variety to the Hardin County community.
The store will operate in the space vacated by Kroger, which closed in the fall of 2020.
It is located at 981 East Columbus Street.
