Ohio Flags Ordered to Half-Staff to Honor the Late Dolly Parton

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)— In honor of the life and legacy of Dolly Parton, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has ordered that the flags of the United States and the state of Ohio shall be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout the state of Ohio effective immediately until sunset, September 1, 2026.

The music legend passed away today (Tuesday August 25, 2026) at her home in Nashville, Tennessee.

She was 80 years of age.
