OVI Checkpoint in City of Marion Tonight
The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced today that an OVI checkpoint will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 tonight on Mount Vernon Ave east of Forest Lawn Drive in the City of Marion.
It is being conducted in conjunction with The Marion Police Department and The Marion County Sheriff’s Office,
The OVI checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
The checkpoint will also be held along with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat impaired driver-related injury and fatal crashes.
If you plan to consume alcohol, designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before you drink.
