The Ridgemont Board of Education approved a change for the school calendar at its meeting Thursday evening.

The board passed a motion to take the federal holiday of January 1st off on Monday, January 2, 2023.

There will be no school for staff and students January 2nd.

January 3rd, 2023 will now be used to replace the Teacher Professional Development day that was canceled on September 12th.

That means no school for students on January 3 as the staff will attend the Professional Development day.

Ridgemont classes will resume after the Christmas break on Wednesday January 4, 2023.
