
Ridgemont School’s Board of Education met Wednesday evening.
As the district busy preparing and finalizing for the start of the 2026-2027 school year, it was announced that information for parents will be sent out in Parent Square and on social media in July.
Also at the meeting, the Board approved all year-end financial reports for Fiscal Year 25 and released several upcoming school Calendar dates.
They include and Open House that will be held Tuesday, August 11 from 5 until 7pm, and the first day of school, which is Thursday, August 13.
The Board recognized several student athletes who distinguished themselves in competition, and they approved student fees for the 2026-27 school year.
Ridgemont Schools also announced that they will be continuing with the Community Eligibility Provision, which allows the district to serve Free Breakfast and Lunch to all students.

The Board of Education commends and congratulates the students for their stellar athletic achievement and noteworthy recognition.
Important Information for Parents
The Board approved the following student fees for the 2026-2027 school year.
Student Fees and Fines
Kindergarten-5th grade school fees – $20 per student
6-12 Technology Fee – $50 per student in each grade level.
(Families with more than 2 children will only be responsible for the first two 6-12 grade students’ technology fee. Other Technology fees will be waived by the board of education)
9-12 Art Class Fee – $30 per student/per class
Class Dues for All 6th through 12th Graders-$25.00
(No fundraisers will be approved to raise funds for classes. The $25 fee will support all class projects such as prom and graduation.)
FFA Dues-$25.00
5-12 Grade Band Instrument Rental Fee for all students using school instruments-$25.00
-Miscellaneous Band Charges-At Cost
Charges may also be imposed for loss, damage or destruction of school apparatus, equipment, musical instruments, library materials, textbooks and for damage to school buildings or property. Students using school property and equipment can be fined for excessive wear and abuse of the property and equipment.
Fees may be waived in situations where there is financial hardship.
Students can avoid late fines by promptly returning borrowed materials.
Failure to pay fines, fees, charges or keeping payment plans current may result in the withholding of certain student privileges, participation in field trips, extra-curricular activities, dances and/or graduation ceremonies.

PLEASE NOTE,
Ridgemont Schools are pleased to announce that we will be continuing with the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) which allows us to serve Free Breakfast and Lunch to all students. Ridgemont waives school fees for students that qualify for free meals through SNAP, Foster, TANF, and Medicaid Free statuses. If you feel you may meet the income requirements for free status please fill out the CEP form included in the newsletter and return it to the school or fill out the CEP Fill Out for Fee Waiver form in your child’s Final Forms account. Income levels are listed on the form to qualify.
