The Riverdale Local School District family is mourning the loss of a 2023 graduate of the school.

Chase Clark died on Sunday after an accident.

According to a release from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, the crash was reported around 12:15 Sunday afternoon in the 18,000 block of Township Road 22 in rural Forest.

Deputies discovered that a pickup being driven by the 18 year old had been traveling west on 22 and ended up off the south side of the road and crashed into a tree.

Clark was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies were assisted by the Jackson-Forest Fire Department, Jackson-Forest EMS, the Hardin County Coroner’s Office, Forest Police Department and Osborn Towing and Recovery Services.

In memory of Chase Clark, several tributes will take place this week at home Falcon Soccer matches.

They include a Celebration of Chase’s Life, releasing of balloons, Chase’s jersey number “22” painted on the field and a moment of silence prior to each match.

In addition, Falcon Soccer alumni players will be able to sign a soccer ball that will be presented to his family.

Clark was instrumental in helping get Esports started at Riverdale.

He was a member of Regional and State level teams.

The Riverdale Esports Team is dedicating the season to him.

School district officials stated that their thoughts and prayers are with Chase’s family during this difficult time.
