Several Counties in Region Receive Funding for Possible Roundabouts

The Ohio Department of Transportation announced details on $121 million in new traffic safety projects planned for Ohio, including the installation of approximately two dozen roundabouts in numerous counties across the state.

Four counties in our region were on the list.

Three projects in Allen County will receive money, including for roundabouts on State Route 510 in Shawnee Township and on State Route 81 at Thayer Road and safety improvements on County Road 93.

A project for safety improvements at Interstate 75 and US 33 was approved for Auglaize County.

In Logan County, a project for improvements, including consideration of a roundabout, at State Route 274 near Huntsville was approved.

Also, an improvement project on US 23 in Marion County was approved for funding.
