According to a message on the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Sheriff Everhart will begin managing the Dog Warden and pound effective immediately for the 2024 calendar year.

At the end of the year, the Sheriff will meet with the commissioners to determine if the management of the Dog Warden is a good fit for everyone.

If so then they will enter into a longer term contract.
