***UPDATE*** Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Area…Snow Could Impact Weekend Travel Plans
If you have travel plans this weekend, make sure you check the forecast for your destination.
Snow is expected in our area Saturday into Saturday night.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for our area.
It is in effect from 1pm Saturday December 13 to 7am Sunday December 14.
Snow is expected with total accumulations between 2 and 4 inches.
This is for Delaware, Union, Auglaize, Champaign, Darke, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Miami, and Shelby Counties.
Plan on slippery road conditions.
A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for areas around Columbus in Franklin County, where between four and six inches of snow is possible.
Persons should consider altering their travel plans, but if you do plan to travel in hazardous winter conditions, consider taking a winter storm kit along with you.
