What was reported to be gunshots fired in downtown Findlay Monday turned out to be something else.
According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, multiple officers were dispatched to Eyes on Main at just after four Monday afternoon to investigate a report about shots fired.
After investigating however, officers discovered that there was an encounter between two customers which resulted in the front door of the building being slammed, and that was mistaken to be a gunshot.
Eyes on Main as well as area businesses were checked, with nothing suspicious being located, and there were no injuries.
The Eyes on Main customers in question were located and interviewed, but no charges have been filed at this time.
The incident remains under investigation.
