Teenager and Juvenile Passenger Seriously Injured in Crash in Marion

Two people were seriously injured in a crash that occurred Thursday morning in Marion.

According to a release from the Marion Post of the Ohio State Patrol, 18 year old Savanna G. Parkman was driving north on Merchant Avenue, and attempted to turn left onto Center Street.

She failed to yield to and was struck by an eastbound pickup truck being operated by 59 year old John R. Leveck, of Marion.

Parkman and a juvenile passenger were transported to Marion General Hospital and later transferred to Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

Leveck was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
