Kenton City Schools Superintendent Chad Thrush addressed KCS staff following last week’s announcement that he was named a finalist for the Bath Schools superintendent position.
Thrush says he will remain with Kenton City Schools and has decided to withdraw from further consideration for the Bath position.
In an email sent to KCS staff earlier today, Thrush stated:
“I want to take a moment to share an update with you. Over the past several weeks, I was involved in conversations with another district regarding a leadership opportunity, and I know that process became public.
After prayerful consideration, and especially after the overwhelming support, encouragement, and kindness I’ve received from so many of you, I have decided to withdraw from further consideration and remain here in Kenton.
This community holds a very special place in my heart. Seventeen years ago, I felt led here, and that sense of purpose has only grown stronger over time. Kenton is home for my family, and I truly love this district and the people who make it what it is.
I am deeply grateful for the way you have supported me and, more importantly, for the work you continue to do every day for our students. I’m thankful that we are moving forward together with a shared sense of alignment and purpose, and I am fully committed to continuing to support each of you and the important work ahead.
Thank you for all that you do for our students, our schools, and this community.”
