
An Upper Sandusky woman was sentenced recently in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.
According to documents filed in the Hardin County Clerk of Courts Office, Valerie Lewis was sentenced to a minimum of 12 years and maximum of 17 years in prison on charges of involuntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence

She pleaded guilty to the charges in late September.
The charges were filed in connection to the shooting death of Benjamine Mays Jr. in July of 2021.
Also in Court recently, Gregory D. Vermillion was sentenced to a total od 12 years and five months in prison on three counts of gross sexual imposition.

The case dates back to 2020 involving sexual contact with a minor less than 13 years old
Both cases were heard by Judge Scott Barrett.
