Shirley Ann Draper 94 of Kenton Shirley Ann Draper, 94, of Kenton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, April 9th, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born July 2, 1928 to the late Charles and Lucille (Price) Haas. She met the love of her life, Jack Edward Draper at the portable skating rink in Kenton in 1946. County Road 20 Now Open

The Hardin County Engineer’s Office announced a road opening recently  County Road 20, between County Road 175 and Township Road 165 is now open.  It was closed earlier this month for a culvert replacement project.

Notices Served In Kenton

Notices were served on Tuesday at several locations around Kenton concerning junk and junk vehicles on the properties. Kenton Police Officers served notices at residences in the 300 block of Decatur Street, 500 block of Robinson Avenue, 100 block Mill Street and 200 block of South Market Street. The owners were given ten days to comply with the orders to clean up the properties.

Robbery and Shooting In Findlay

A 20 year old and two 17 year old males are in custody today after a robbery and shooting in Findlay this week. According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, Marcus Cataline and one of the juveniles arrived in a car at the Circle K parking lot where the second juvenile was sitting in a separate vehicle.  All three know each other. Ohio Northern University will host the Ohio Academy of History’s Annual Meeting this Friday and Saturday, April 14-15, in the Dicke College of Business Administration building in Ada. OhioHealth End Masking Requirement

Due to decreasing community spread and higher immunity, OhioHealth will end the masking requirement for asymptomatic individuals in all hospitals, outpatient care centers and physician offices beginning this Friday, April 14.  Masking may be required for visitors based on specific patient situations, such as when a patient is in isolation.  Masks are also recommended for visitors if they are experiencing any respiratory symptoms.  Masks will continue to be made available for those who wish to wear them.

Hardin County Ag Society Meets About Fairgrounds

The Hardin County Agricultural Society met last Wednesday.  Charlie McCullough stated the development committee has decided to go with a new approach for the building of livestock structures. Instead of one large multipurpose barn, several barns are going to be built and the tearing down of the current structure done in phases.
