Kenton High School Boys Varsity Bowling beat Shawnee High School 2624-2479

The Wildcats completed their regular season with a victory over Shawnee 2624 - 2479.   Devin Hastings led Kenton with a 402 series (209 -193).  Spencer Anglemyer followed with a 401 series (247 - 154).  Adam Hopkins added a 190 game and Zane Rogers a 188.   Kenton improved from last year's 1-8 league record to finish this year 6-3. The Wildcats next match is the WBL tournament Thursday @ Astro Lanes in Wapakoneta.

Kenton Girls 7th Grade Basketball beat Elida Middle School 35-23

The Wildcats came out sluggish but had a great third quarter to propel them to a tourney win. Leading all scores was Lyla Gammon with 16 points. Brylee Bostelman and Hadley Wilson each added six. While Jadynn Byers, Kaylee Barlow and Kaelyn Rettig chipped in a basket apiece, and Taryn Miller added a free throw. The Cats are in action again Saturday morning at 9 AM at Elida Fieldhouse versus Bath.

Kenton High School Boys Varsity Bowling finishes 3rd place at Commodore Invitational

Kenton finished tied for 3rd at the Lima Perry Commordore Invitational. The Wildcats finished the preliminary round of 10 bakers in 4th place with a total of 1940 pins. In the 1st round of the knock-out stage, Kenton defeated Shawnee 228 - 215, 213 -213 (39-26). In the 2nd round, Kenton lost to Liberty Benton 168 - 186, 170 - 176. Kenton Boys 7th Grade Basketball beat Elida 41-28

The wildcats came out firing in the first half  with a smothering defense and built a halftime lead to 23-9.  The wildcats were led by Maddux McFarlin with 16, Kyle Barrett with 14, Anden Goldsmith 4 and Luke Hougendobler 3.  The wildcats will next be in action - Wednesday Night @ 615 as they take on the winner of #2 Van Wert or #7 Bath.

Kenton High School Coed Varsity Wrestling falls to Van Wert High School 54-27

The Kenton High School Wrestling team travelled to Van Wert Thursday night in WBL action.  Despite losing the match 54-27, Kenton was able to claim victories in five of the seven contested matches. Kenton High School Boys Varsity Bowling beat Bluffton High School 2502-2110

Kenton jumped out to a 155 pin lead after the 1st individual game to cruise to a 2502 - 2110 victory against Bluffton on Senior Night. Senior Devin Hastings led the way with a 428 series (226 - 202).  Sam Taylor added a 193 game, Senior Zane Rogers a 189 and Adam Hopkins a 187.  The Wildcats will compete in the Commodore Invitational Saturday morning at 10:00am at 20th Century Lanes in Lima.

Kenton High School Girls Varsity Basketball falls to Van Wert High School 57-48

The Lady Wildcats fought hard but lose to Van Wert by a score of 57-48. The Lady Cats were led in scoring by Macee Heckathorn with 15 points and Sadie Larrabee with 13 points. The cats are back in action next Thursday at Shawnee. Kyra Welch led Van Wert with 25 points and Sofia Houg added 12 points. Kenton Girls 8th Grade Basketball beat Elgin 12-4

The Wildcats ended the season on a high note with a win in two quarters. The Lady Cats played aggressively to get the win. Bailey Henry, Karyn Hopkins and Ary Gradick had multiple steals to lead the defense. Brylee Bostelman led in scoring with 6 points. Ary Gradick, Jadyn Byers and Taryn Miller each added a basket.
