Defensive battle between USV and Ridgemont quickly turned to blowout

Ridgemont hosted USV for the Harvey Brothers Fan Pick of the week. Kenton gains another WBL win against Wapakoneta

In a triple header match, freshman, JV and Varsity squads all brought home victories from Wapak. Freshman won 26-24, 25-8 and JV won 25-20, 25-23. Kenton Girls Varsity Soccer falls to St. Marys Memorial 3 – 1

The Kenton Wildcat Girls Soccer Team battled St. Mary's to a 3-1 game in WBL Soccer action. Kenton and St. Mary's both had chances to score in the first half; however, neither team was able to find the back of the net and went into halftime tied at 0-0. BG defeats Kenton 5-1

The Cats fell to BG 5-1 and now are 4-5-3 on the season. Gus Wingfield scored a penalty kick midway through the 2nd half to make the game 4-1. The Nobcats jumped out 3-0 at half en route to the 5-1 victory.  Hayden Holland recorded 5 saves in net. JV cats fell 1-0 tonight senior night is Saturday at 7 with the varsity playing Ada at 7:30.

Kenton Girls Tennis advances Carmean and Wilson to Day #2 of WBL Championships

Kenton had some strong play from Presley Wilson and Lilly Carmean.  Presley entered the tournament as a seventh seed and defeated St. Marys Memorial's Delanni Wilker 6-1, 6-4.  Presley fell to #2 seed, Katie Guingrich of Celina 1-6, 4-6.  In the backdraw, Presley defeated Van Wert's Lauren Gearhart 8-3.  Presley will return to UNOH on Saturday to play Alivia Mack from Lima Shawnee for fifth place in third singles. Kenton takes two wins from Riverdale in volleyball

JV and Varsity came home with wins from Riverdale. Jv squad won first match, 25-19 & 25-20. Next up was Varsity squad although slipping a gear set 2, commanded match 25-13, 22-25, 25-14 & 25-6. Big offensive night, Sadie Larrabee ended with 18 pts, 10 kills and 6 blocks. Kenton 8th grade Volleyball falls to Allen East 2 – 0

Back on Saturday the Kenton Wildcats played 2 competitive games versus Allen East.  Lauryn Newman served 8 points in set 1 and got Kenton within 4 or Allen East but the Mustangs closed out the match 19-25.  Set 2 was much of the same, with both teams trading points but Allen East was able to string together a few service points and won the set 17-25.
