Waynesfield-Goshen returned home winless tonight. JV squad won 25-13, 25-19. Varsity took care of business 25-6, 25-8, 25-10. Cailyn Hopkins led scoring with 18'pts and 1 aces, Morgan Lyons added 8pts and 4 aces. Alexis Ratliff tallied 7 pts and Macee Heckathorn scored 6 pts and 1 ace.  Macee Heckathorn had 13 kills, Sadie Larrabee 11 kills, Sidney Payne 4 kills. Morgan Lyons has 21 assists. Kenton will travel to Riverdale to take on the Falcons tomorrow at 5:30.

County Rezoning Effort Quashed

Kenton City Council denied a spot zoning request from Hardin County Commissioners by a vote of 1-6 with Dave Beazley being the lone dissenting vote. Earlier in the meeting it was revealed that the city received a $2 million small cities grant for a project to begin in 2028 and further funding options will be explored. Kenton was forced to play with several players in different positions.  Amanda Van Horn fell to Elise Osborne at first singles 6-0, 6-0.  Marissa Fox lost to Amilia Young 6-0, 6-1.  Katelyn Stevenson lost to Brooke Adams 6-0, 6-0. McKenna Stanforth and Lydia Lambert faced Kennedy Rinsch and Sophie Beechum. This top serving team beat the Wildcats 6-0, 6-0.  Mia Vermillion and Katie Lowe lost to Natalie Pelley and Phoebe Klenzman 6-0, 6-1.

Kenton traveled to Bath on Tuesday night and fell 3-2 and fall to 3-2-2 (0-2-1 WBL) cats opened scoring 5 minutes into the contest when Micah Bowman put in a loose ball. With 8 minutes left in the half the cats were called for a handball and pj was converted for a 1-1 tie.
