Kenton Boys Varsity Golf beats Elgin Local Schools 147 – 170

Landon Plaugher and Dawson Miller tied for overall Medalist both carding a 36, followed by Austin Root (37), Oliver Sneary (38), Thomas Mustain 41, and Jack Whitmer 48.  The JV team lost to Elgin 94 -103 *only 2 players per JV teams. Hudson Latimore 51 and Jace Murphy 52.  The Elgin players both carded 47.

Kenton Girls Varsity Soccer 2nd Half Comeback Falls Short

The Kenton Wildcats battled to a 2-1 loss in WBL action against the visiting Bath Wildcats. Kenton Senior Kinze Sprang nearly scored at the 20:31 mark in the first half when she took a shot from 30 yards out but the Bath Keeper was able to make a finger tip save. Oliver Sneary was low man for the team carding a (39), followed by Dawson Miller (42), Landon Plaugher (44) and Austin Root (45),  Thomas Mustain 54 and Jack Whitmer 58. The JV team lost to Van Wert 184 -199 Tate Ketcham lead the JVs with a (48), then Ethan Mcnamara (49), Cale Harshfield (50), and Luke Hensel (52), Parker Benson 54 and Brady Cole 54.

Kenton Girls Tennis Tops St. Marys Memorial 4-1

Kenton City Council reads rezoning ordinance for second time

The Kenton City Council met for its 17th regular session of 2024 Monday evening. During the meeting, Safety Service Director Cindy Murray reported that the portable water tanks that have been placed around the city will soon be tested. This testing is in preparation for the planned draining of the city's main water tower, which is scheduled for maintenance. Kenton Girls Varsity Soccer falls to Elida 5 – 0

The Kenton Wildcats fall to Elida 5-0 in girls WBL Soccer action. After falling behind 4-0 in the first half the Wildcats settled down and played a solid defensive second half. Kenton had multiple chances on goal by Kinze Sprang, Kyla Bostater, Jadynn Byers, and Ellie Minter but were unable to find the back of the net. Ruby Styer recorded 6 saves in goal. Kenton will be back at home on Monday, September 9th at 7pm against Bath.
